Welcome to My Application Tracker. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We've kept this as simple as possible. Your data is yours, and we only use it to make this app work for you and to provide insights to the community.

We only collect information that is essential for the app to function.

  • Account Info: We use Google Sign-In (for the web app) and Stytch (for ChatGPT integration) for authentication. This means we receive your email address and basic profile information (like your name) from these providers. We use this only to identify you and let you log in.
  • We do not see, handle, or store your passwords.
  • Information You Enter:
  • Application Data: Any job application information you choose to enter, such as company names, job titles, application status, notes, or uploaded documents. This data is only visible to you.
  • Information We Don't Collect:
  • We do not collect any automatic tracking data, advertising data, or analytics about your behavior. We don't use cookies for tracking (only what's essential for keeping you logged in).

    • 3. How We Use Your Information

    Our use of your data is very simple:

  • To Provide the Service: We use your login information to authenticate you and your application data to display it back to you.
  • To Create Anonymized, Aggregate Insights: We may use your application data in an anonymized and aggregated form to generate statistical insights. For example, "the average time to find a data analyst job in the Baltics" or "the most common skills listed for graduate jobs."
  • These insights are always anonymized. We will never use your personal data for this, and no one will ever be to trace any statistic back to you. We may share or sell these aggregate insights.
  • We will NEVER sell, rent, or share your *personal information* (like your email or your specific notes) with any third party, ever.

    • 4. ChatGPT Integration

    You can optionally connect My Application Tracker to ChatGPT to manage your job applications through conversation.

  • How It Works: When you use this feature, ChatGPT can read and write your application data on your behalf. This means your application information (company names, job titles, interview steps, notes) is sent to OpenAI when you interact with the ChatGPT integration.
  • Your Control: You must explicitly authorize this connection. You can disconnect the integration at any time from your ChatGPT settings.
  • What ChatGPT Can Access: Only the application data you've entered - the same data you see in the web app. ChatGPT cannot access your password or authentication credentials.
  • **OpenAI's Privacy:** When using the ChatGPT integration, your data is also subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

    • 5. Service Providers

    We use the following third-party services to operate My Application Tracker:

  • Google Cloud Platform - Hosts our application and database (EU region)
  • Google Sign-In - Authentication for the web app
  • Stytch - Authentication for ChatGPT integration
  • OpenAI - Powers the ChatGPT integration (when you choose to use it)

    • These providers only process your data as necessary to provide their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

    6. How We Store and Protect Your Information

    We take data security seriously.

  • Your personal data and application data are stored in a secure database hosted in the EU.
  • All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted (using TLS).

    • 7. Your Control Over Your Data

    You are in complete control.

  • Access and Edit: You can view and edit any of your job application entries at any time inside the app.
  • Account Deletion: You can request the deletion of your entire account at any time. To do so, please email us at `support@myapplicationtracker.app`. We will then permanently and irreversibly delete all of your personal data (account info and application data) from our systems.

    We may need to update this policy in the future. If we make any significant changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or with a notice inside the app).
